Holvi working space in Hämeenlinna main library
Urban office for a maximum of 3 people
The working space has motion detector lights. If you stay still for some time the lights may turn off but movement will turn the light on. There are also reading lights at every table.
The purpose of the space is to use Hämeenlinna library reference material. The reservation has to be made at least five days in advance so that our staff has time to collect the material you want to examine.
Please notify in the additional information field of the reservation form what kind of material you want to examine.
In Holvi working space you may examine material that is not available for home loan. The material includes

Newspaper microfilm (including Hämeen sanomat) are available in The National Archives of Finland Hämeenlinna branch. In the Digital Archives of the National Archives of Finland it is possible to browse Finnish newspapers from 1771 to 1939 and magazines digitized until 1939. The material is available free of charge. You may use your own index words when browsing the material. Individual issues are available for downloading in PDF form and therefore also easy to print out for reading. The service provides Hämeen Sanomat volumes 1878-1939 and Hämäläinen -newspaper volumes from 1858 to 1901.
